Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.
Author Guidelines
- The article should be submitted in English. The number of words should be limited up to 5000 words for research articles, up to 1500 words for book reviews and short technical communications. The authors should specify the type of the paper they are submitting.
- The deadline for the submission of paper is November 30 for the upcoming April issue and May 31 for the upcoming October issue. Earlier submission is most welcome.
- Each article should include cover page with title of the paper, authors' full names, email addresses and corresponding addresses. The text should start on page two with the title and abstracts of 150 to 200 words containing 5-7 key words. The abstract should not contain undefined abbreviations or references. Book reviews or short technical communications do not need abstracts. Footnotes should be avoided.
- Tables and figures should be typed on separate sheets and not included as part of the main text. However, all tables and figures should be mentioned in the text with Arabic numerals.
- Articles should be submitted in electronic form, preferably in Microsoft Word format in Times New Roman with 12 font size. The articles should be sent to info@nfa.org.np referring 'Article for the Nepal Journal of Forestry' in the subject line.
- References and citations should follow the author-date system with the date appearing without brackets after the author. The examples include:

Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- When available, the URLs to access references online are provided, including those for open access versions of the reference. The URLs are ready to click (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca).
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review) have been followed.
