The gills sections of <em>Oxygaster bacaila, Neomacheilus botia, Glossogobius giuris</em>, <em>Puntius sophore</em>, <em>Barillius barana</em>, <em>Channa gachua </em>and <em>Silorhynchus sucatio </em>were found much deformed.
