Therefore, it is essential for organizational development and employee motivation. The objective of this study is to evaluate the attitudes of CMC members toward teacher motivation in community colleges. As a research methodology, a qualitative case study design was used. The population consisted of three participants who were purposively selected from three different community colleges. The participants were interviewed in-depth to assess their perspectives on teacher motivation. The gathered data were transcribed, examined ethically, and divided into three significant themes. The study found that CMC has favorable views regarding merit-based responsibility, employee promotion by TU regulations, and teacher appreciation and recognition. However, the CMC has poor attitudes towards teachers who actively participate in politics, the irregular in the classroom, and have poor academic performance. In light of these findings, the study failed to identify that CMC is hardly responsible in some major teachers’ motivational cases. Accordingly, it is suggested that CMC should take full responsibility for teachers’ motivation in college for optimal performance. And teachers should also prioritize their professional duties above other responsibilities. Consequently, the contribution of the study will be valuable to stakeholders in community colleges for the policy-making process in the future.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Research Management Cell, Chaturbhujeshwar Janata Multiple Campus https://www.nepjol.info/index.php/caj/article/view/63132 Exploring Smartphone Usage as an ICT Tool among College Students of Chaturbhujeshwar Janata Multiple Campus 2024-02-27T05:52:21+00:00 Laxman Shrestha laxman.shrestha.sarlahi@gmail.com
This study aims to reveal students' and lecturers' perspectives on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), including its pros and cons, and to cultivate a technology-friendly environment in colleges. It extensively examines the potential benefits and challenges linked to integrating Mobile Technology in education. Moreover, the research seeks to understand how both students and educators perceive mobile technology use among college students, evaluating its advantages and disadvantages. This study employs the Connectivism theory as the analytical framework to evaluate the study's outcomes. Data analysis involves the utilization of frequency analysis. The research design is characterized as a concurrent mixed methods approach. The primary research instruments utilized encompass a semi-structured questionnaire and an interview checklist. The target population consists of 700 students and 22 teaching faculties enrolled in Bachelor's degree programs, with 152 students and all 22 faculties selected as respondents. Upon the comprehensive integration and synthesis of data, a total of 14 fundamental themes and two overarching perception themes were discerned through the analysis process. The findings reveal that smart phones are widely used among college students for studying, communication, and accessing information. Meanwhile, students and lecturers have acknowledged both the benefits and the potential negative impacts on academic performance. The study provides valuable insights into the perceptions and experiences of students and educators regarding the usage of mobile technology in education. As technology continues to play a vital role in education, it is essential to foster a conducive learning environment by leveraging its advantages while mitigating its potential drawbacks.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Research Management Cell, Chaturbhujeshwar Janata Multiple Campus https://www.nepjol.info/index.php/caj/article/view/63133 Challenges in Diverse Classroom of School: Teachers' Perspectives 2024-02-27T05:58:28+00:00 Shruti Sharma shrutisharma5996@gmail.com
The objective of this study was to explore the challenges faced by teachers in diverse school classrooms and the possible way to solve the problem from the perspective of teachers themselves. Women participation in school management committee (SMC) is more crucial issue that is mandatory as a legal process however, realization of their effective role within SMCs proceedings remains somewhat elusive. Women could not still play an active role in decision where male domination is still remaining as a fossil. This research aims to explore the women participation in SMC and their role in decision making. This study is based on qualitative research design and phenomenological approach. The study area and participant selected purposively. From the field study, it is found that women members involve regularly in the meeting in time and participate in discussion but they have no information about the meeting agenda. As a result, they have no any agenda and preplan then they normally put their agenda but these could not be so strong and logical. Thus, the male domination starts from there and women's presence only for signature. They take women as an easy participant of the meeting because they do not disturb in any decision. Similarly, women do not believe themselves as a leader and psychologically think as weak and unable for leadership.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Research Management Cell, Chaturbhujeshwar Janata Multiple Campus https://www.nepjol.info/index.php/caj/article/view/63135 Marxist Perspective on Health and Health Education: Critically Review in Nepalese Context 2024-02-27T06:09:26+00:00 Samjhana Thapaliya sthapaliya2015@gmail.com
The application of Marxist philosophy in the realm of health and health education offers a critical lens through which to understand the intricate relationship between socioeconomic structures, power dynamics, and individuals' well-being. Grounded in the principles of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, Marxist thought underscores the impact of class struggle, capitalism, and exploitation on the healthcare system and the dissemination of health education. The aim of this paper is to use Marxism to analyze health and health education, emphasizing its implications for addressing systemic inequalities and advancing a more equitable approach to healthcare. In this review, Marxist philosophy has been explained based on the literature reviews available in peer-reviewed academic articles and books. In the context of contemporary consumer culture where advertisements play a pivotal role in shaping social perceptions of gender and beauty, this research seeks to unravel the complex web of power, discourse, and commodification regarding the portrayal of women's bodies. The analysis delves into how capitalism commodifies the female body, turning it into a product to circulate in the market. The study investigates the economic relations and labor conditions involved in the production of these images, shedding light on the exploitative mechanisms within the advertising industry. It also explores how consumerism and the pursuit of profit contribute to the perpetuation of idealized beauty standards. Simultaneously, drawing from Foucault's theories, the research investigates the ways in which power operates within the discourse of advertisements. It uncovers how advertising normalizes specific beauty ideals, imposes disciplinary domains regimes, and invites viewers to engage in a surveillance-based gaze that judges and categorizes female bodies. This study revealed that advertisements commodify the female body, reducing women to objects that can be bought and sold, perpetuating unrealistic beauty standards and creating a culture where women feel alienated from their own bodies, all driven by the profit motive of corporations and reinforcing the capitalist notion that everything, including beauty, has a price. By elucidating these dynamics, the research contributes to a critical discourse on the role of advertising in reinforcing or challenging gender norms and the broader socio-economic system.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Research Management Cell, Chaturbhujeshwar Janata Multiple Campus https://www.nepjol.info/index.php/caj/article/view/63139 Assessment of the Primary Schools' Physical Environment in Harion Municipality, Sarlahi 2024-02-27T07:13:49+00:00 Ram Babu Mukhiya ram.mukhiya@ntc.net.np Hari Lal Mainali ram.mukhiya@ntc.net.np
The study assesses the physical environment of schools, highlighting their generally satisfactory but improvable state, emphasizing the pivotal role of school infrastructure in education, and the need for increased investment for an optimal learning environment.
