Abstract

The rapid development of digital technologies has affected human behavior in business, education, communication, finances, and in their daily lives in such a way that new opportunities arose as well as new social, ethical and organizational problems emerged. This editorial paper will discuss nine papers that have been developed under the common topic of Digital Society and Human Behavior: Emerging Perspectives from Business, Education, and Social Sciences. Altogether, the papers follow the interdisciplinary approach while discussing the effects of digitalization on consumer behavior, organizational communication, educational process, financial well-being, and others. In particular, the papers emphasize the importance of digital marketing, social networks, and Internet sites for consumer behavior; the role of the English language in economic growth; and the opportunities and challenges of online learning for the youth. In addition, it highlights the importance of good financial management in improving personal financial happiness and analyzing the concept of platform capitalism and digital power dynamics via social theory in modern times. Last but not least, this topic also deals with persistent social issues by explaining the theory behind intimate partner violence. Taken all together, the above contributions stress the necessity of taking an interdisciplinary and evidence-based approach to studying human behavior in the modern digital era and offer useful information for those dedicated to building sustainable society.
