Location-Based Futsal Opponent Matching and Game Scheduling Using Collaborative Filtering present a mobile application that addresses the growing demand for efficient futsal game organization in Nepal. Traditional methods rely heavily on personal networks and manual scheduling, often leading to inefficiencies and missed opportunities. The proposed application addresses this challenge by incorporating location-based services and intelligent matchmaking through advanced algorithms. Using cosine similarity in collaborative filtering, the app recommends players with similar skill levels and preferences, enhancing fair and balanced team formation. Simultaneously, the Haversine algorithm is employed to suggest the nearest futsal venues based on the user’s live location, optimizing travel convenience. Real-time push notifications further improve user engagement by updating them on bookings, team status, and match schedules. Built using Flutter for the frontend and Django for the backend, the application is cross-platform and scalable. A MySQL database ensures reliable data storage and retrieval. Initial testing indicates that the application significantly reduces coordination time and improves the futsal experience for players. The system also promotes community involvement by simplifying team creation and venue booking. Overall, the proposed application enhances accessibility, efficiency, and engagement in Nepal’s futsal community through smart technology integration.
