The elements recruitment process, selection process, and employee training are considered as independent variables whereas employee performance is taken as dependent variable. This study is based on analysis of information gained through service sector institutions of Nepal consisting of hospitals, telecommunications, and airlines. In this research work, in total 321 questionnaires were distributed and 244 respondents provided their response, which was the basis of study. The statistical tools such as descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analysis have used to study the data collected through questionnaire. In this study it is found that recruitment, selection, and training have significant position relation with employee performance. But, when examining the beta coefficient, it was explored that compassion to training is higher followed by selection process on employee performance. The conclusion is that if Nepalese service sectors define and implement specific procedures of recruitment, selection, and training process, it can improve the level of employee performance. It involves multiple aspects such as national, political, legislative, institutional, and fiscal dimensions. Federal processes have the potential to influence and shape local governance. The purpose of this study is to investigate the elements of federalism that can improve local governance in Nepal. A descriptive and analytical research design was employed to collect data from 384 respondents via a questionnaire for analysis. While the elements of federalism for enhancing local governance were found to be satisfactory, the study highlights the inadequacies in its implementation. The findings provide valuable insights into Nepal's federalism policy and offer guidelines to policymakers for improving local governance. This study attempts to measure Nepalese consumers' online shopping attitudes and purchasing intention to this phase witnessing the social media moderation. The analysis uses a quantitative research-based descriptive and causal research design. To gather responses from sample respondents, structured questionnaires were used, and surveys were carried out. Two hundred cross-section data was gathered. For checking the psychometric and econometric components of the suggested causal model, partial least square structural equation modeling was used. Trust is important factor for purchase intention in online platform. The same case, product variety and country of origin did not support for purchase intention in online mode. Attitude successfully mediates product variety, country of origin and trust to online purchase intention. Moderated mediation is not possible for social media with attitude to online purchase intention. Empirical shreds of evidence have indicated the positive and significant effects of various talent management practices on different aspects of performance. The absence of studies on talent management practices focusing on attracting, developing, and motivating talents and analyzing their effect on retaining them prompted this study. The study uses descriptive and causal-comparative research designs to describe and analyze the causal relations among the study variables. Quantitative data is collected from 132 respondents using a questionnaire survey developed based on intensive reviews. The findings of the descriptive analysis indicate moderate efforts given by the institutions managing talents. The correlation result shows positive and significant associations between talent retention and talent attraction and development, as well as talent motivation. The findings from multiple regression analysis showed a positive and significant effect of talent attraction and development on talent retention. However, talent motivation showed no significant effect on talent retention. The findings may have practical uses for administrators to manage talents by evaluating their actions, strategies, and policies to retain talented employees and deal with a surplus or shortfall of a talented workforce. The findings provide new insight into the field of study of talent management and retention. Product features are focused on advertising soft drinks because they are critical in meeting the expectations of customers. The study intended to assess the relationship between ingredients, quality, and flavor in soft drink preferences. A descriptive and causal research design was used in this study. This survey relied heavily on primary data. To obtain preliminary data, a four-point Likert scale questionnaire survey was created. This study employed a convenience sample technique to identify 315 respondents from the Kathmandu Valley who had previously consumed soft drinks in order to collect the relevant data. The study adopted cross tab, independent t-test, and correlation to analyze the data. The quality, ingredients, and flavor are positively correlated with consumers' preference for soft drinks. As per the result quality is the first preferable factor to select soft drinks and it has a high correlation with consumers’ preferences. It assures customers to make them ready to purchase particular soft drinks. So the company should maintain the standard of quality of the product by using high-quality ingredients to meet the consumer's expectations and the company also need to maintain the standard of flavor to build up the company’s image. The study used empirical research methodology using primary sources of information collected using structure questionnaire. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the linear relationship between the personality dimensions and investment decision-making. The personality traits considered for the study are extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness. The study provided empirical evidence that the personality trait of conscientiousness and extroversion have a significant positive influence on the investment decision making process of retail investors. Similar, neuroticism has positive effect on investment decision of investor and statistically significant at 10 percent level of significance. The results of the study could help investors better understand their investment decision-making in terms of the influence of their personality. Important statistical properties like Survival function, hazard rate function, skewness and kurtosis etc are studied. Some methods of estimation Least Square, Maximum likelihood and Cramer-Von Mises methods are used using R programming software. A data set is discussed and Validity of the model is tested by analyzing P-P and Q-Q plots. Different information criteria such as Akanke’s information criterion, Bayesian information criterion, Corrected Akanke’s information criterion, and Hannan – Quinn information criterion are applied for model comparisons. For testing the goodness of fit of the proposed model, Kolmogrov-Smirnov, Anderson darling and Cramer –Von Mises statistics are used. The proposed model called Exponentiated Inverse Chen distribution is more applicable as compared to some existing probability model. It is found that MLEs are better with respect to LSE and CVM. PDF curve of model has shown that it can have various shapes like increasing as well as decreasing, monotonically increasing, constant as well as inverted bathtub shaped based hazard function is seen. Applicability and suitability of model is evaluated. For this, we have considered a real-life dataset. Overall, 67 samples are analyzed out of 120 population identified from the period of 2014/15 to November 2020/21 using judgmental sampling and removal of outlying observations. Firm size, subscription rate, issue size, age of firm, issue manager reputation and market condition are taken as independent variables. Nepalese investors mainly prefer microfinance sector for investment and tends to be underpriced for longer period due to high demand for share. Observations are classified into two categories based on mean value of each predicting variable and NEPSE index. Significant difference on initial as well as monthly return has been observed between categories of subscription rate (high versus low) and age (matured versus young). Highly positive and significant correlation between the issue size and firm size shows large firm issue IPO in large size and negative significant correlation between issue size and subscription rate shows when issue size is low there will be high demand for shares. Significant relationship of subscription rate and age of firm for initial and first month return has been observed whereas only subscription rate was found significant after second month to sixth month. Considering this, the purpose of this study is to examine the antecedent factors (intention, habit, and facilitating conditions) that influence cyberloafing and to investigate the impact of cyberloafing on the work performance of employees in Nepalese Commercial Banks. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire that yielded 384 responses. Structural equation modeling has been used to test the hypotheses. Findings show that social factor has a significant positive effect on intention to cyberloaf, whereas perceived consequences and affect have an insignificant effect on intention to cyberloaf. Furthermore, intention to cyberloaf has a positive influence on actual cyberloafing behaviour, whereas habit and facilitating conditions have an insignificant effect. Moreover, cyberloafing has a significant positive effect on the work performance of employees. The findings of this study are valuable for both managers and policymakers. Shrestha ganesh.niraula@pmc.edu.np <p>The purpose of this study is to determine how strategic human resource development has been taken in the context of training and development by the employees of Nepalese commercial banks. Strategic human resource development has greater focus on training and development which can enable the management of banks to make appropriate policies and programs to strengthen the banks' profitability and efficiency. The qualitative case study research design is used in this study. Three research questions were set to seek the answers from the participants/ informants of commercial banks which were related to strategic human resource development (SHRD) and its relationship with training and development, SHRD and their issues in Nepalese commercial banks and new roles and structure that improve SHRD for training and development. Some human resource officials were taken as informants/participants from different commercial banks to furnish the answers. Data were gathered in verbatim form, transcribed, coded, and generated theme using qualitative data software Atlas-ti.
