From the 19th issue (2020), the name of the journal was changed to Journal on Geoinformatics, Nepal (ISSN 2717-5022). It was formerly known as the Nepalese Journal on Geoinformatics (ISSN 2676 1246).
The annual publication of “Journal on Geoinformatics, Nepal” has been started since 2058 BS (2002 AD). This volume is continuation of the publication which has been an important asset of the Survey Department and playing a remarkable role in sharing information on Surveying and Mapping, Geo-information and professional knowledge, skills & expertise in this field. The journal is a platform for researchers to publish their knowledge in the field of Surveying Mapping and Geospatial technologies. The 20th issue is first issue, in which the published articles are reviewed by the experts.
The Journal on Geoinformatics, Nepal is published annually.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Articles in the journal are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International Licence. This license enables re-users to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes only if attribution is given to the creator. If you remix, adapt, or build upon the material, you must license the modified material under the same or a compatible license.
Double-blind review process is followed for the selection of the article to be published in the journal. Reviewers are sent the article for reviewing without including the authors details. Once, review comment is received then it is sent to the author to incorporate and return it back to the editorial board. The editorial board re-examine if the comments are incorporated. Then the board finalises the paper for publication.
The Journal does not charge any fee for publication of the paper.
