Peer Review Policy
BICJoM uses a double-blind peer-review process. The review process is managed by a member of the editorial board. The Editorial Board will check the manuscripts based on the author's guidelines and whether the submitted manuscript is appropriate for the journal or not. The editorial board will assign the article to at least two reviewers corresponding to the expertise of the reviewers. In this process, the reviewers need to categorically state whether a paper is rejected, needs major/minor corrections for acceptance, or is accepted without any need for correction. If an editorial board member is also an author, s/he will not be involved in the decision-making process for the manuscript or in choosing peer reviewers. The duration and choice of peer reviewers will determine how long the review process takes in total. Final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
- Call for Articles
- BIC Journal of Management (BICJoM) initiates the process by calling for articles on our college website and social media platforms, specifically targeting submissions related to management, business, economics and social science.
- Anonymizing Submissions
- Upon receiving the articles, we encode them to conceal the identities of the authors and their affiliations, ensuring an unbiased review process.
- Desk Review
- Our panel of reviewers, available at the college, conducts a desk review. This involves:
- Checking for adherence to our standards of styles and formats.
- Ensuring the articles meet our initial quality criteria.
- Determining the submitted manuscripts are plagiarism free.
- Checking grammar and typographic mistakes using integrated Grammarly software
- Communication with Authors
- The managing editor communicates the results of the desk review to the corresponding authors.
- Authors are requested to resubmit their revised articles within a stipulated time frame.
- Peer Review
- Once the revised articles are received, they are forwarded to a panel of reviewers specializing in the respective study areas.
- Reviewers provide detailed feedback on the articles.
- Author Revisions
- The feedback is communicated to the corresponding authors, who are again requested to revise their articles within a stipulated time.
- Verification of Revisions
- Upon receiving the revised articles, the Editorial Committee cross-verifies to ensure that changes have been incorporated according to the reviewers’ feedback.
- The articles are then forwarded to the same reviewers for final approval.
- Acceptance and Printing
- If the reviewers accept the revised articles, they are sent to the press for printing.
- The acceptance is communicated to the authors.
- Final Review
- The press copy undergoes a final cross-verification by an internal reviewer to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Publication
- Once the final review is complete and the DOI for each article is received, the journal is printed and distributed.
