About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Journal of Indigenous Knowledge and Practice (JIKaP) is a multidisciplinary academic journal that focuses on Indigenous Knowledge and Practice. JIKaP is committed to fostering a culture of evidence-based indigenous knowledge, skill and practice. This journal serves as a platform for scholars, academics, educators, research students and professionals both nationally and internationally to publish work that contributes to the dissemination of indigenous knowledge and practice to broader audiences, and advances academic and research standards in the field.
Publication Frequency
JIKap publishes one issue a year.
Open Access Policy
JIKap provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Readers can read and download the articles in free of cost and they can cite the references for their academic purpose.
Peer Review Policy
The Journal of Indigenous Knowledge and Practice is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal that undergoes four stages: Submission, Editorial Desk review, Peer-Review, Editing, and Publication. The article goes through a blind peer-reviewed process, which involves two experts from Nepal or abroad. The review process from Editorial Desk Review to Final Acceptance by the Reviewers typically takes between three to six months. The Flow Chart outlines the steps involved in the review process:
