About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal of Land Management and Geomatics Education is a peer-reviewed publication by the Land Management Training Center (LMTC) that showcases case studies, and technical innovations in land administration, geoinformation, and spatial technologies. It serves academics and professionals, by advancing knowledge and practice in sustainable land management, remote sensing, GIS, and geomatics education.

Publication Frequency

The journal publishes one volume a year.

Open Access Policy

Journal of Land Management and Geomatics Education provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal is freely available on the LMTC website (www.lmtc.gov.np) and all the hardcopies of journal can be freely accessed from LMTC premises but the printed copies of the journal are available in limited number.

Peer Review Policy

The Journal on Land Management and Geomatics Education employs a double- peer-review system, where each submission is reviewed anonymously by at least one, typically two or more, independent reviewers. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts using a structured format based on criteria such as relevance, technical correctness, originality, methodology, and clarity, each rated on a scale of 1 to 4. The review process generally takes 2 to 4 weeks. Final decisions—acceptance, revision, or rejection—are made by the Editorial Board, based on the reviewers’ scores and recommendations.
