Focus and Scope

Journal of Nepal Commerce Association is an academic, not for profit, blind peer-reviewed journal of Commerce across disciplines. It aims to provide professionals, professors, scholars, Managers, Academicians, Scientists, Industrial specialists, Researchers, students and learned members of the community from all over the world an authentic open-access platform featuring scholarly research, reviews and perspectives on the state of current research on topics of interdisciplinary interest under domain of commerce. It is a unique journal published from Nepal with following highlights:

The Journal of Nepal Commerce Association envisions a thriving, innovative, and inclusive commercial ecosystem in Nepal that drives sustainable economic growth, fosters entrepreneurial excellence, and bridges academia with industry through cutting-edge research and knowledge dissemination.

  • Publish a high-impact issues annually featuring peer-reviewed research on Nepalese commerce, entrepreneurship, and economic policy.
  • Achieve a 10% annual increase in submissions from Nepalese academics, industry leaders, and emerging scholars.

Publication Frequency

The JNCA annual journal is published both in print and electronic forms in the month of December of the year.

Open Access Policy

JNCA provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The articles in the Journal of Nepal Commerce Association are published under a Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial 4.0 International Licence. This license enables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator.

Peer Review Process

Research and review articles received through open calls or individual invitations undergo double-blind peer review prior to publication. The production officer forwards articles to Section Editors for an initial assessment of relevance to the journal. Section Editors submit draft decisions to the Editor-in-Chief, who determines whether to advance for further review or reject. This initial review is expedited and does not exceed six weeks.

Perspectives, including case studies and interviews, are evaluated by Section Editors and approved by the Editor-in-Chief. These are not subject to double-blind peer review.

The process comprises three levels of review, encompassing editorial checks and blind peer review, as outlined below:

Level One: Pre-Editorial Checks
Verification of paper structure, comprehensive plagiarism detection (must be less than 10%; no half- or full-paragraph matches), unique title confirmation via Google, Google Scholar, and plagiarism tools, plus grammar and typographical error checking using integrated Grammarly software.

Level Two: Content and Scholarly Evaluation
Assessment of methods, format, title, keywords, tables, figures, and citations; review of analysis/results, novelty, suggested improvements, suitability for the journal, subject area, and article type.

Level Three: Final Production Review
Post-journal formatting checks, including DOI assignment, page numbers, PDF glancing by the editor, and author proofreading before publication.
