Focus and Scope

The Journal of Bharatpur Hospital (JoBH) is a peer-reviewed, open-access medical journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research, case reports, and review articles across all fields of medicine. 

Established as an initiative of Bharatpur Hospital, JoBH adheres to stringent ethical standards and employs a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the integrity and credibility of published work.

With a broad scope encompassing clinical, experimental, and public health research, JoBH serves as a vital platform for researchers, clinicians, and policymakers, while maintaining a special focus on addressing healthcare challenges relevant to Nepal and the South Asian region.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published semiannually: published in June and December.

Open Access Policy

As an open-access publication, the journal provides unrestricted access to medical knowledge, facilitating global dissemination of research findings and promoting evidence-based clinical practice.

Copyright on any research article in the Journal of Bharatpur Hospital is retained by the author(s). The authors grant the Journal of Bharatpur Hospital a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.

Article Processing Charges

JoBH does NOT charge authors article submission feews and it does NOT charge article processing fees.

Peer Review Policy

After receiving articles from authors, the journal editor screens them for initial review and checks for plagiarism, which should be below 10%. Based on the screening, articles are either accepted for further processing, returned to authors for major or minor revisions to meet journal format, or rejected if outside the journal’s scope all within 15 days. The manuscripts are then sent for a double-blind peer review by two subject experts, with the process completed in 20-30 days. Following the reviewers’ comments, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection in consultation with the Editorial Board and the authors are informed within 15 days. Accepted articles are returned to authors for any corrections and, if none are required, edited for grammar, punctuation, style, and format within 10-15 days. Subsequently, the corrected articles are designed in the journal format, and the galley proof is sent to the corresponding author, who must return it within two working days. After incorporating all necessary changes, the articles are published.
