About the Journal

Aims and Scope

The MedS Alliance Journal of Medicine and Medical Sciences (MJMMS) is an international, peer-reviewed, multispeciality journal published biannually in English beginning in 2021. It is an open access journal and published by Centre for Clinical Research and Community Health wing of MedSpirit Alliance Inc. Its abbreviated title is MedS. J. Med. Sci. The journal is aimed to contribute to health sciences by publishing high quality publications of scientific and clinical significance, and to provide ground for the exchange of ideas and data developed through research in healthcare delivered by practitioners of different disciplines.

For this purpose, original research articles, review articles, case studies, reports, editorials, letter to the editor, brief communications, viewpoints, field note and sharing, event, professional corner and commentaries are published in all fields of healthcare on urgent issues and unique work from areas of basic academic and clinical practice.

The scope of journal includes but not limited to all areas of basic and clinical sciences, medicine and medical sciences, infectious and non infectious diseases nursing and behavioral sciences, environmental and  occupational safety (mechanical, electrical, chemical, and construction), epidemiology, public health, nutrition, medical education, health promotion and disease prevention, health protection including control of communicable and non communicable diseases, health service effectiveness, management and re-design, evaluation of public health programme or interventions, health governance, audit and quality, health law and ethics, health policies and comparisons, capacity building in health systems and workforce, health system management, need or impact assessment,  and studies related to economic evaluation and its policy on all aspects of health. The journal covers a very wide range of areas and we welcome submissions from practitioners and researchers of all levels and from all over the world.

The target audience of the journal includes health care workers, scientists and researchers who are interested or working in all the fields of healthcare, medicine and medical sciences.

The editorial and publication processes of the journal are shaped in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and National Information Standards Organization (NISO).

Publication Frequency

The journal publishes two issues a year in English. It started publication in 2021.

Article Processing Charge (APC) and Waivers

No fees are requested from the authors during submission and evaluation process. In order to cover the costs of reviewing, copy editing, layout, and online hosting and archiving, the journal will charge an article processing fee of $200 upon acceptance of submitted full-length papers (no fee will apply to Editorials or letters to Editors or view points). Upon the acceptance of the manuscript, authors should transfer the payment to the account that is stated in the acceptance letter and send the receipt / voucher of payment to alliance@medspirit.org.

MJMMS considers APC waiver requests for authors with the aim of promoting the highest standards of scientific exchange and supporting high-quality researches. Requests for APC waivers and discounts will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and may be granted in cases of financial need. All applications for APC waivers or discounts should be made prior to or at the point of manuscript submission. Requests made during the review process or after acceptance are not eligible for consideration. For waiver/discount requests, please contact alliance@medspirit.org.

Please note that all submissions are evaluated by the Editorial Board and external reviewers in terms of scientific quality and ethical standards. APC payments have no effect on the outcome of the article’s evaluation and/or publication priority.

Open Access Policy

MJMMS is an open access publication, and the journal’s publication model is based on Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) declaration. All published content is available online, free of charge. Authors retain the copyright of their published work in The MedS Alliance Journal of Medicine and Medical Sciences.

The journal's content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0) which permits third parties to share and adapt the content for non-commerical purposes by giving appropriate credit to the original work.

Editorial Policies & Disclaimer

The MedS Alliance Journal of Medicine and Medical Sciences (MJMMS) requests all the contributors not to submit the same article to different journals for publication. Our policy understands that the article submitted to MedS Alliance Journal of Medicine and Medical Sciences is not submitted to any other journals.

Statements or opinions expressed in the manuscripts published in the journal reflects the views of the author (s) and not the opinions of editors, editorial board, and/or publisher. The editors, editorial board, and publisher disclaim any responsibility or liability for such materials. If accepted for publication, the manuscript may be edited without diverting the meaning of the original manuscript to improve clarity and understanding. More than two referees will review original or review article.

Ethical issues

The MedS Alliance Journal of Medicine and Medical Sciences (MJMMS) publishes the results of research involving human subjects only, if such research has been conducted in full accordance with ethical principles of World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki  (as amended by the 52nd General Assembly, Edinburgh, Scotland, October 2000) or approved by national authorities for ethical clearance. Do not use subject’s name, initials or registration numbers, especially in any illustrative materials. Any manuscript that contains the results of human subject studies, must describe a clear statement of informed consent of the subjects or their legal authorities.
