About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Nepal Council of World Affairs (NCWA), was established in 1948 to promote Nepal’s relations with other countries through various activities including study, research, lecture, and exchange of ideas and information with other organizations within and outside the country.

NCWA has been active in organizing events and publishing on a regular basis reports on different aspects of international relations. In order to commemorate its establishment, NCWA publishes an annual journal in February each year.

The journal provides a reflection on one or more of the following themes or brings up themes closely related to them.

  • International Relations
  • Geopolitics
  • Foreign Policy
  • Development Diplomacy/Economic Diplomacy
  • Nepal’s Relations with Neighbours/Great and Emerging Powers
  • Multilateral and Regional Cooperation
  • International Law
  • National Interest and National Security
  • Emerging/Relevant Issues: Climate Change, Science and Technology Diplomacy, People's Diplomacy, Labour, Migration, Tourism and Culture, etc.

Publication Frequency

NCWA Annual Journal is published annually in February.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
