Abstract

The study titled “Role of Beneficial Microbial Inoculants in Enhancing Potato Vegetation Growth in Sindhupalchok District” was conducted at the Potato Crop Development Centre, Nigale, from February 21 to July 11, 2025. A Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with five treatments- Control, Trichoderma, Pseudomonas, Phosphate-Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB), and a 1:1:1 mixture was used, each replicated four times. Data on vegetative growth were recorded and analyzed statistically using R Studio. At 45 days after planting, plant emergence was highest under PSB (58.33%), while plant height at 105 DAP was greatest in Trichoderma (83.9 cm). Although several variables showed no statistically significant differences (p ≤ 0.05), consistent numerical improvements occurred in Trichoderma and mixture treatments, indicating that beneficial microbial inoculants can enhance vegetative growth and quality in the mid-hill regions of Nepal.
