About the Journal

Focus and Scope

NRB Economic Review is a bi-annual peer-reviewed economic journal being published in April and October. The journal encourages high quality analytical articles on contemporary issues of the Nepalese economy as well as emerging issues of economics, banking, finance and management. The papers received have to undergo a double blind review process and are then subject to approval by the Editorial Board.

The journal is published bi-annually in April and October.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Subscription Rate

There are no subscription fees at present.

Peer Review Process

The original submitted papers are first sent for internal review for initial quality assessment by the editors. The papers are then filtered and sent to external referees comprising of faculty from Tribhuvan University, officials of Government of Nepal, officials of Nepal Rastra Bank and retired officials of the bank for peer review. One paper is sent to at least one referee and they take an average of 7 days for the review. The entire process is double blind. The final decision on the publication of paper is taken by the editorial board based on assessment of the external referee.
