About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Universal Technical Journal of Lumbini International Academy of Science and Technology (UTJLIAST) is a scientific journal published by Lumbini International Academy of Science and Technology (LIAST). Our aim is to be a high-quality, multi-disciplinary journal publishing the results of basic and applied research. We place emphasis on the quality of all published papers. The journal should also bridge basic research in natural sciences and applied research in all technical disciplines. We support the innovative research results published by young scientists or doctoral fellows and the high-quality papers by researchers from the international scientific community.

UTJLIAST provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Articles in the journal are published under a Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial 4.0 International Licence. This license enables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator. 

Article processing charge

Article submission charge or Article processing charge (APC, publication fee) is not required from authors - publishing in UTJLIAST Journal is free of charge.

Peer Review Policy

The Journal is peer-reviewed, the journal paper is sent to different reviewers from where acceptance or minor correction or major correction or rejection is declared. Also, after the comments from reviewers it is send back to corresponding author. If the author addresses the comment, then it is finally sent to those previous reviewers to check weather their comments got addressed or not.

  • The process ensures that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Do not attempt to identify the authors or reveal your identity in the review comments.
  • Avoid mentioning any information that might inadvertently disclose your identity.

Scope and Relevance

  • Ensure the manuscript aligns with the journal's aims and scope.
  • Assess whether the topic is relevant, original, and contributes to the field.

Quality of Content

  • Originality: Evaluate whether the work offers new insights, approaches, or findings.
  • Significance: Assess the impact and importance of the research within its field.
  • Accuracy: Check for technical correctness, sound methodology, and logical conclusions.

Structure and Presentation

  • Ensure the manuscript is well-organized and clearly written.
  • Assess the appropriateness of the title, abstract, and keywords.
  • Evaluate the clarity of figures, tables, and references.

Methodology and Data

  • Examine the research design and methodology for validity and reliability.
  • Assess the adequacy and appropriateness of the data presented.
  • Check for proper ethical considerations, including approvals where applicable.

References and Citations

  • Ensure the manuscript appropriately cites relevant literature.
  • Identify any potential plagiarism or issues with citation accuracy.

Constructive Feedback

  • Provide specific, actionable, and constructive feedback to improve the manuscript.
  • Highlight both strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Use a professional and respectful tone in all comments.

Ethical Considerations

  • Report any ethical concerns, including conflicts of interest, plagiarism, or data manipulation.
  • If you suspect ethical issues, notify the editor promptly.
