Workplace Spirituality And Organizational Citizenship Behaviour: An Empirical Study Among Women Healthcare Workers In Multi-Speciality Hospitals

Abstract

This research investigates the relationship between workplace spirituality and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) among women healthcare workers in multi-specialty hospitals in the Delhi NCR region. An empirical study was conducted using a standardized, self-administered questionnaire, focusing on the four dimensions of workplace spirituality (meaningful work, inner life, sense of community, and alignment with organizational values), and the five dimensions of OCB (altruism, sportsmanship, courtesy, conscientiousness, and civic virtue). Data from 100 women healthcare workers in public and private hospitals were analyzed using correlation and t-statistics with SPSS. It indicates a positive relationship between workplace spirituality and OCB, with significant variations in public versus private hospitals. The study provides insights into how spiritual well-being and OCB can enhance job satisfaction and performance among women in a high-pressure healthcare environment.
