About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal of Nepal Geological Society is the main regular publication of the Society and is issued every June. The articles in the Journal are published only after a peer review procedure followed by the society. Articles for publication in the journal must reach the Editorial Board by the end of February.

Publication Frequency

Published annually.

Peer-Review Policy

All articles will be appraised by two or more reviewers designated by the Editorial Board. The critical review determines the suitability of the paper and its originality, adequacy and conciseness of presentation. The manuscripts are returned to the authors for revision or final polish. After the manuscripts have been accepted, the editors may ask the authors for final changes. Changes, if any, must be made at this time, because no galley proofs are sent to authors.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global knowledge exchange.
