About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Contemporary Research: An Interdisciplinary Academic Journal (CRAIAJ) has been established to promote academic and professional research culture, aiming to publish high quality research papers relevant to contemporary multidisciplinary issues. We are particularly interested in path breaking research articles.

History

The journal was previously called the Ghodaghodi Review: A Professional Research Journal of GMC and was published between 2015 and 2018. The journal was renamed as Contemporary Research: An Interdisciplinary Academic Journal (CRAIAJ) in December 2019. It has been published annually since then. The biannual publication of CRAIAJ bagan in 2023.

Peer-Review Process

All submissions to the journal are initially reviewed by one of the journal editors. At this stage, manuscripts may be rejected without peer review if it is felt that they are not relevant to the journal or are not of high enough priority. This fast rejection process means that authors are given a quick decision and do not need to wait for the review process to be completed.

Manuscripts that are not instantly rejected are sent out for peer review, usually to two independent reviewers. Based on the feedback from these reviewers and the editors’ judgement, a decision is given on the manuscript. The review process, including the editor-review process, peer-review process and final-review process, will last at least 2 weeks and no more than 1 month generally. After this review process, the paper author will be noticed by email with the manuscript’s final decision.

In the blind reviewing, the identity of the author is, as far as possible, kept from reviewers, whilst reviewers’ names are kept confidential. Authors are therefore encouraged to avoid explicit disclosure of their identity in the text of their manuscript; for example, by use of a header. In some cases the editor may decide that direct discussion between author and reviewer would be helpful, but names are never disclosed without explicit permission from both parties.

Publication Frequency

From 2023, the journal will publish two issues a year. One issue a year before that.

Publisher

Contemporary Research is published by Ghodaghodi Multiple Campus, Research Committee. It is also available on its own website at http://www.craiaj.info/.
