विश्वेश्वरप्रसाद कोइरालाका उपन्यासमा अचेतनको संरचना The Structure of the Unconscious in the Novels of Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala

Abstract

प्रस्तुत लेख विश्वेश्वरप्रसाद कोइरालाका उपन्यासमा प्रयुक्त अचेतनको संरचनाको अध्ययनमा केन्द्रित छ । अचेतनको संरचना मनोविश्लेषणात्मक सिद्धान्तसँग सम्बन्धित छ । कोइरालाका उपन्यासमा मनोविश्लेषणको प्रयोग पाइन्छ । उनका उपन्यासमा सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक, राजनीतिक, ऐतिहासिक, पौराणिक सन्दर्भ मनोविश्लेषणसँग जोडिएर आएका छन् । मनोविश्लेषणात्मक सिद्धान्तमा अचेतन सर्वाधिक महŒवपूर्ण तŒव हो । सिग्मन्ड फ्रायडले मनोविश्लेषणात्मक सिद्धान्तको व्याख्यामा अचेतनलाई मुख्य आधार बनाएका छन् । फ्रायडोत्तर मनोविश्लेषणमा ज्याक लकाँको योगदान महŒवपूर्ण छ । उनले फ्रायडीय मनोविश्लेषणको पुनर्पठन गरेका छन् र अचेतनको व्याख्या फ्रायडभन्दा भिन्न ढङ्गमा गरेका छन् । उनले अचेतनको व्याख्या भाषाविज्ञान र विभिन्न दर्शनहरूका आधारमा गरेका छन् । उनका विचारमा अचेतन भाषा जस्तै संरचित हुन्छ । अन्य, आवश्यकता, माग, अभाव, इच्छा जस्ता कुरा अचेतनसँग सम्बन्धित हुन्छन् । त्यस सिद्धान्तका आधारमा विश्वेश्वरप्रसाद कोइरालाका उपन्यास केकस्ता छन् भन्ने जिज्ञासा यस लेखको मुख्य समस्या हो र त्यसको समाधान खोज्नु यस अध्ययनको उद्देश्य हो । यसपूर्व कोइरालाका उपन्यासको अध्ययन विभिन्न भए पनि अचेतनको संरचनाका आधारमा नभएकाले यो अध्ययन गरिएको हो । प्रस्तुत अध्ययन गुणात्मक पद्धतिका आधारित छ । अध्ययनका लागि सामग्री सङ्कलन पुस्तकालयकार्यद्वारा गरिएको छ र सङ्कलित सामग्रीको विश्लेषण विषयवस्तु विश्लेषण विधिमा गरिएको छ । अध्ययनको सैद्धान्तिक ढाँचा ज्याक लकाँको मनोविश्लेषणमा आधारित छ । त्यस दृष्टिले यी उपन्यास सफल रहेका छन् भन्ने यस लेखको निष्कर्ष रहेको छ । 

This study focuses on examining the structure of the unconscious as represented in the novels of Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala. The concept of the unconscious is closely linked to psychoanalytic theory, and Koirala’s novels exhibit significant use of psychoanalytic elements. His narratives intertwine social, cultural, political, historical, and mythological contexts with psychoanalysis. In psychoanalytic theory, the unconscious is considered a fundamental concept, with Sigmund Freud emphasizing its central role. Post-Freudian psychoanalysis, particularly the contributions of Jacques Lacan, offers a re-reading of Freudian ideas, presenting an interpretation of the unconscious rooted in linguistics and various philosophical traditions. According to Lacan, the unconscious is structured like a language and relates to concepts such as the Other, need, demand, lack, and desire. This study investigates how Koirala’s novels embody these elements of unconscious structure. Although Koirala’s novels have been previously studied from various perspectives, this research is unique in its focus on the structure of the unconscious. The study adopts a qualitative approach, with data collected through library research and analyzed using thematic content analysis. The theoretical framework is based on Jacques Lacan’s psychoanalytic theory. The findings conclude that Koirala’s novels effectively manifest the structure of the unconscious as conceptualized by Lacanian psychoanalysis.
