About the Journal
Aims and Scope:
Formerly known as the Nepalese Journal of Educational Studies up to its third volume, Interdisciplinary Research in Education (IRE) is a peer-reviewed journal. It is entirely research-based publication of the Research Management Cell within the Central Department of Education at Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal. It serves as a platform for scholarly exchange in interdisciplinary educational research. IRE publishes original research articles from researchers in Nepal and around the world, and also invites submissions of meta-analyses and systematic reviews that synthesize and advance knowledge in the field. Contributions for the journal are primarily from faculty members of the Central Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Tribhuvan University, and other related institutions.
Editorial Policy
Each manuscript is initially assessed by the editorial board to decide whether it fits with the aims and scope of the journal. The articles then go through a double-blind peer-review process. Reviewers are given 15-20 days for the review process. If a paper is rejected by one of the reviewers, it will not be published. The final decision on any paper rests with the editorial board.
Publication Frequency
Interdisciplinary Research in Education publishes two issues a year.
Publication Charges
There are no publication charges for authors. The whole cost of publication is supported by the Central Department of Education, Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
